A Permanent Home for Peace
Sustaining the space that changes lives
After a full-circle journey, Nashville Peacemakers has returned to the house where so much began—this time, to stay. Now we need your help to keep the doors open.
In 2014, Nashville Peacemakers began serving youth and families from a house that quickly became more than a building. It became a safe and welcoming place where young people found mentorship, mothers found support, and hope took root.
When storm damage forced us to leave in 2019, we did not know whether we would ever return.
Today, Nashville Peacemakers has come home. The same house where so much of our work began has been restored and is now our permanent location—the foundation for the next chapter of our service to the community.
Christina Barkley’s story reflects the full-circle impact of this place. While Nashville Peacemakers operated from the house, Christina used one of our computers for nearly two years to study for her real estate license. Years later, she returned as the real estate agent who helped Nashville Peacemakers purchase that very same home. Her journey shows what can happen when people are given access, encouragement, and opportunity.
Your gift to A Permanent Home for Peace helps sustain this space month after month. It supports expenses such as utilities, insurance, security, maintenance, and repairs so these costs do not take resources away from programs.
Help us keep this permanent place of peace, mentorship, healing, and opportunity serving Nashville’s youth and families for years to come.
